7 Ways to Decorate With House Plants

Uncategorized

A friend of mine recently said they were not a fan of plants inside the house. I highly disagree! I love the idea of using a plant to enhance a room’s decor. Houseplants can add great visual texture to a room and they help purify the air. Studies have shown that plants can have a destressing effect too.

From a tall fiddle leaf fig or palm tree, to some creeping English Ivy, to some low maintenance Aloe Vera, a rubber plant, some bamboo…all good options for inside the house…

Today I show you some ways to style plants in your home!

A little bit of potted greenery in a plant stand is the perfect accent.

A snake plant is low maintenance with a modern look.

Love a fiddle leaf fig in a basket. Definitely on trend.

Palm trees. Need I say more?

An arrangement of small potted plants brightens up this fire place mantel.

HELLO!
Welcome to Maelee Arnold Interiors FIRST EVER blog post!

I am a stylish young women currently studying Interior Design at my hometowns local community college.  The purpose of this blog is to write about my knowledge and experience learned in design school and also my professional designs. I have grown up in the furniture industry ever since I was four years old so it was no surprise to my family when I started pursing my career in the industry for myself. I am located twenty minutes North West from Americas “Furniture Capital of the World” also known as High Point, North Carolina. As I graduate college in May 2018, I plan on staying close to home and finding a design job specializing in show room design or furniture design in High Point, N.C. I like all aspects of design but what I love about interior design is the showrooms and the furniture the fills them.

I’m looking forward to continuing my blog and writing to design lovers about the newest, in style interiors and exteriors.
